Al-Babtain Industrial Group established Al Babtain Biscuit Manufacturing & Food Stuff Company Limited (ABISCO) in 1983 with considerable experience and expertise in manufacturing, marketing and management, and it is considered as the first food manufacturing plant within the Group. This company was formed to serve the food market in Saudi Arabia and the region, and to be one of the leaders in these markets manufacturing biscuit and other food products. Being a part of the self-sufficiency food program in the Kingdom, is one of the Group’s main objectives. Based on a comprehensive expansion plan, the factory has passed through different development stages, in order to fulfill the increasing demand & consumption of the market, starting in early 1984 with wide range production line of high quality Biscuits, Crackers and Cookies under different brands. And in 1987 ABISCO has successfully installed new Hi-Tech machinery with the capability of producing various shapes and sizes of Macaroni & Vermicelli, using Saudi Flour & Semolina, in high volume production and less span of time and ensured hygienic packaging. The first complement to complete our Pasta Range under the “Al Maedah” Brand was the installation of Spaghetti Manufacturing Plant capable of producing both retail and catering packs. An Additional Dry Mix lines are installed to produce different products both retail and catering packs of Jelly Crystals, Crème Caramel, Instant Drink Mixes, Cake Mixes and other powdered products, under the vision of competing different local and International Brands in the Saudi & international markets.
